Cataclysm
Cataclysm is Solaris' battle royale, launching in Early Access alongside Dodgeball. Drop in, gear up, and outlast everyone else on the map.
How It Works
The queue starts counting down once 8 players are in, and a full match can scale up to 32 players. At launch, Cataclysm is Duos only: you queue and drop with a partner. Squads and Solos are planned for after Early Access, depending on how launch goes.
A round usually runs under 10 minutes, typically somewhere between 5 and 10, fast enough to queue again and again.

Loot & Gear
Loot works a lot like Fortnite: explore the map, crack open loot crates, and gear up from what drops. Your inventory is limited to your hotbar: there's no backpack to hoard everything in, so every slot matters.
Weapons
Combat runs on paintball guns: real, lootable firearms, just paintball-flavoured so we can keep things fun without going anywhere near Mojang's EULA. Alongside the guns, custom melee weapons are joining the arsenal too, starting with the hammer, a weapon that lets you leap up and smash down on whoever's underneath you.
Under the Hood
Everything runs vanilla server-side. The only thing you need to play is the Solaris resource pack. No mods, no extra installs.
