A New Identity for Solaris

Today we're officially revealing the new SOLARIS logo and branding.

Why Now?

For a long time, the Solaris icon was heavily inspired by Mineclub-era aesthetics, which made sense when the server first started development years ago. It was a familiar visual shorthand for the kind of experience we were building.

But Solaris has grown into something much larger and much more original than that early reference point. The community has grown, the game has grown, the team has grown. It felt wrong to keep carrying a visual identity that was essentially a callback to somebody else's universe.

We wanted a logo that felt like ours.

The new design is built around a stylised astronaut helmet.

It ties directly into Solaris' space-themed world, the name, the lore, the direction we're heading, while giving us something far cleaner and more scalable than what we had before. Whether it's a tiny favicon, a Discord server icon, a YouTube thumbnail, or a piece of merchandise, this logo works at every size and in every context.

That scalability matters a lot. As we move toward Early Access and beyond, Solaris is going to appear in a lot of places. We needed an icon that could carry the brand across all of them.

Part of Something Bigger

This logo reveal is the beginning of a larger visual refresh for Solaris as a whole.

Over the coming weeks we'll be rolling out updated graphics, UI concepts, social media visuals, promotional material, and more, all building toward the look and feel that will define the server at launch and beyond.

This project has changed a lot over the years, and so have we. The new logo is a small but meaningful marker of that.

We think it represents Solaris better than the old could, and we genuinely can't wait to show you everything that comes next.
